ant escape
I recently got a queen ant, with one worker. (Last weekend) I went to check on them on Saturday, so I could give them a drop of sugar water. I discovered that the worker ant had went missing. I assumed that the queen maybe ate it, but after a quick search I found it dead outside the test tube. I fed...

Re: how to make sugar water
I also heard that you have to boil the water or something like that. You need to boil it only if the sugar isn't dissolving. You can just heat some water and add enough sugar that all of it dissolves. Then let it cool to room temperature and fill the test tube with it and you're done! You will need...

Re: how to make sugar water
What is the recipe to make sugar water for my ants? I use to do 1:1 sugar water, but I have been told 1:2 sugar to water and some people do 1:7 sugar to water. Try 1:2 first, and if they don’t like it, try 1:3, and if they don’t like that 1:4, and so fourth. Also what species? Some species will not...

Re: Can I feed my ants this?
Don’t feed it to queens in the founding process, as they don’t need it(Unless you want to when your queen has larvae) I have heard several people use this product for ants(Or similar products), but check the ingredients to make sure. The ingredients are: Water, Sucrose, Citric Acid, Sodium benzoate...

Can I feed my ants this?
Hi, everyone.
I was wondering if hummingbird nectar is safe for ants to eat. The species in particular is camponotus maritimus.
I was going to buy a product called: PERKY-PET HUMMINGBIRD NECTAR CONCENTRATE
Is this safe for my ants to eat? They are currently in the founding process.
