Re: Camponotus
Or the termites develop soldiers, causing the ants to avoid them. When I caught the termites they already had a few soldiers (around 6 or so). Have not checked their population yet to see if there has been a boom. They don't have a official queen but a reproductive alate. Could mean they have more ...

Re: Camponotus

They still like pulling on it for fiber So far they are very gentle. Even had a moment where water leaked through the glass and flo...

She is sitting on over 200 eggs in various stages just waiting for the weather to warm up a little bit. https://imgur.com/T...

Re: First time Oregon poster showing off Camponotous Novaeboracensis.
The outworld is up on the table by a window I use to ventilate. Usually the tubes and outworld stay fairly ambient until around 5PM when I get some direct sunlight through the window that warms the hybrid nest and lightens the tubes. I only open the hybrid nest lid maybe once every 2 weeks and its i...

First time Oregon poster showing off Camponotous Novaeboracensis.
Queen is sitting pretty awaiting her third year reign. Around 200 eggs from each stage of development, many silk cocoons. From year 1 to 2 she went from 4 workers to a little over 70. Caught a deep wood termite mound that I keep in their outworld, some scouts have been poking their heads out the las...
