New queen ant ID help please south east Michigan
Found some flyers out tonight, found a few that already took their wings off. I have two yellowish ones and one dark one, all look relatively the same. Got stung by one. Smaller than half inch in length.

Lasius neoniger or winter ant?
Had a huge nuptial flight yesterday after some storms rolled through. Caught a bunch of queens and can't exactly tell what they are. Some of the smaller ones looks close to my winter ant queen, and the larger ones look like lasius neoniger. Maybe they are both the same species. If I could get some h...

Caught two of these critters while picking up lasius queens. About same color as lasius neoniger, a bit longer and more slender. Very stout legs.
