Re: Need help identifying this fossil
Ah I can see that now. I was just being skeptical because I couldn’t see a gaster. If it’s Queen then her gaster should be obvious right?

About 0.5-1 cm
From Myanmar
Is this as it was claimed- a hell ant? I think both antennas and legs are at wrong place according to mandibles. Also where are compound eyes? What do you guys think?

Re: Relocating a wild colony
Alright, thanks for this!! I was pretty down last night. I really don’t want to call pest control. I mean, the queen lives for 30 years, it just seems unthinkable to kill her ya know?

Re: Relocating a wild colony
UPDATE: Everything I need had arrived! All I need to do is carve two hollow wood cylinders. Have a problem… I’ve just discovered ants upstairs in the loft. They seem tunneled up into behind a drywall in closet from their original nest, then more tunnels lead to top of the loft stairs. I’ll post pics...

Kk sweet. I’ve set up both water and honey in the tube. Though she’s really keen on trying to get through a cotton ball lol. What if I don’t see males out there?

A Princess before the nuptial flight
I’ve finally managed to capture an ant princess ventured a bit farther from its nest inside my house without its bodyguards. I want to release it before the nuptial flight. Any idea where I could safely release it??
