Re: Nuptial Flight Sightings: New York
Hey everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know that tetramorium immigrans queens are flying. Just caught 2 queens in my back yard. They've got wings, but they fell into my pool. Not positive if they are mated or not. But we'll find out.

Re: Tetramorium or pheidole??

They were having a nuptial flight and I caught it at the tail end while all the queens were going to find a place to hide. I was convinced they were tetramorium at first but now I'm not so sur...

Hey everyone. Chris here from long Island NY. I found a queen today that I thought was an Asian needle ant, but after looking at her up close through the camera, I am not sure anymore. She's 5mm long, and was found under a very large decaying log. Any ID would be great. Thank you. Here's the link to...

Re: Looking for an ID from long Island, NY, USA.
Hey everyone. So I caught 2 queens that look almost identical to two others I currently have small colonies of. But, I thought these were parasitic ants. But the other 2 laid eggs and founded a colony, and the 2 I have in great tubes have gasters that have doubled in size which means they are going...
