Re: SO excited.
I am sorry to say this but prenolepis imparis has an extremely high mortality rate I have had one die on me before and I hope yours will work out better but just be ready in case. Good Luck can we get some reference to your source of information? Is this based on personal experience? Not that I don...

Was high 60's yesterday after hail and rain all last week and no queens anywhere on my side of southern Indiana. Will continue searching

Re: Simple Questions about Ants
Under a bed is prime roomba territory. I have a cat, I'm worried about him and the ants (when I eventually get some :) ). So my plan is to get my queens into test tubes in a holder in a closet on like that shelf they have at the top halves of closets. Gonna have em sit in there on a dark colored she...

Re: Nuptial flight updates and Queen sightings KY\IN\IL\OH\MI 2022 Edition
Last Wednesday it was upper 70's in southern Indiana and I spotted a Queen but didn't have anything to put her in. Now I got my things in the mail. I finally went back out today even though it was only mid 50's, it was still nice to get outside. The next week from Monday to Friday is supposed to rai...

Re: New Colony, HELP!
Wow that is one heck of a spot you are in, if I could be of any assistance I will try my best. A critter keeper enclosure is not ideal for your queen starting out, I don't know how long it would take for you to get a test tube shipped to where you live but it is not to late. I would put her in the c...
