So thats why the first one dies she was almost ready to hatch. The cacoon has been there for 4 days is that good enough it's still far from hatching, also what are the chances this is going to work?

Brood boosting carpenter ant queens?
I added 2 pupae to my oldest carpenter ant queen who already has one pupae 2 larvae and a few eggs, After a day I checked on her again and she added the brood to her pile. Is this a good Idea?

It's brown with no eyes. The cacoon is a bit bent should I be worried or is it normal?
