I'm in Arizona as well. And I caught 13 queens a few nights ago, which I'm fairly sure they are imported fire ants. I haven't been lucky enough to find a harvester flight yet. Wow nice! I think I might have caught 1 possible fire ant. But i know I have like 20+ Brachymyrmex Patagonicus (Rover Ants)...

Do you know what species they were ? I'm also in Arizona and am glad to hear you had so much luck! I'm hoping I will have the same luck as well. I'm fairly sure they are fire ants. I'm hoping to get on to the GAN page at some point. The monsoonal weather out here is so unpredicatable. Luckily I caught 13 tonight, I need to have one identified still but I'm going out again tomorrow to see if I can get more.

For me Ant love is finding a Queen in my work place and then finding a way to keep her, since I wasn't really expecting to. So far she's doing great with her brood.
