Ooh thats so nice. Hopefully my colony can also grow this big and i can celebrate like you :D AYYY past me they did get that old but can't celebrate cuz they don't fricking eat anything  Lol, Camponotus are usually not that picky, although a lot of Google images show them tending to "ant cows"...

Re: Messor Barbarus - Deaths in new nest
Greetings fellow ant keeper! Im a musician from austria so please excuse my english ;) So I nursed a nearly dying ant colony of Messor Barbarus from 5 to a thriving empire of a few thousands in the last 3 years. Re: Please help ID these queens
Hi guys, I'm from Sydney, Australia and it is winter here. Over the last few nights I've caught quite a few of these queens, about 8mm. I'm pretty sure they are queens, they have quite a large gaster. They are not Irodomyrmex Bicknelli as the heads on these queens are larger, however roughly the sa...

Re: Difficulties with Ectatomma sp
Hello guys! I live in Brazil and a few months ago I got an Ectatomma sp and quickly she laid her first eggs and soon the first larva was born. But I noticed that she hardly ever laid eggs and that the first larva took almost 2 months to become pupa. And, to my dismay, just over a week after it had ...

Re: Questions and Feedback on Care of Tapinoma sessile Colony
There is no reason for them to keep aphids that can’t produce honeydew(They need living stems) Vaseline is crap. Use fluon for small ants like Tapinoma. Baby powder won’t work as well due to their size and weight compared to the baby particles. Some later formicaria I would suggest are acrylic nest...

Re: Questions and Feedback on Care of Tapinoma sessile Colony
Hello, I have a colony of Tapinoma sessile. I acquired the colony from an existing colony, which had at least a dozen queens and probably at least a thousand workers. I collected two queens and around 30 workers. It has now been around 6 weeks since I acquired them, and they have been doing well. I...
