I just moved my Messor out of a Formica hybrid nest 2.0 and need to clean it. As stated above if the queens were caught in the nest and had wings they are elates, meaning they haven't had their nuptial flight and are unmated. They won't produce any eggs that will mature, this is one of the reasons so many ant keepers watch for nuptial flight from nests that way they catch mat...
