Re: Very upset with omni nest

8. I have gotten the covers stuck inside the chambers at least a dozen times. OMG this... I totally agree. I had it too many times also on my omni nest :( I either had to open the whole thing or try and yank it out with ear pick for almost an hour. eventually i put a silicon glue to use it as a han...

Re: lid dropped into the nest room?! GRRRRR

My word of advise on using this - DONT EVER PLACE THE COLONY UNLESS THERES ENOUGH ANTS THEY CAN FULLY CONTROL THE ROOMS.
Lid falling in happens just damn too often and it's a real pain to get it out. just populate the ants enough not to have lid off and on at all.

Re: lid dropped into the nest room?! GRRRRR

just managed to get it out. scooping from one side tilted did the trick... but honestly think the part holding the lid should be a bit more smaller so this won't happen :(

what is the size of the bolt used in the onmi nest?

Long story short: I'm having serious hygiene(mite) issues with the nest and dropped one of the bolts into the gutter while cleaning it - damnit :( Can I know the size of the bolt used? none of the spare bolts I have in my house matched. part missing is on the picture below. http://imgur.com/A4Ul8lv....

How to clean inside of the nest? (+ mite problem)

well, I guess this would be the beginner's mistake #1... I currently have carpenter ant(Camponotus Atrox), with about 150-180 workers. when i reached this number I put them into our large omni nest. all was good, except the fact the nest was too big for 150-ish ants, they never threw the meals to th...
