Ah, ok. I thought so, thanks for the help guys! I'll release her in the morning, and hope she finds a Lasius americanus or neoniger colony to do her interesting evolutionary things to.

Seemed to be 10-11 mm, didn't get much of a chance to measure. April 19, 2023. 7:30 PM, still light out. United States, North Carolina, southwest of the Raleigh area. Found on a screen in a suburb. The queen is dead I had so much hope for them the last 2 years, always energetic and prolific and hungry for more food, but this year they just stopped feeding the queen.
