Hey AC, could you sell a bag with just moss. Like the kind Mikey uses. I think for big setups or multiple, this may come in handy. :D
There are actually many options on Amazon from what I’m seeing, give it a quick search.

Re: Is Vinyl tubing Toxic?

I have an interesting problem, not sure if it's minor, major, or nonexistent. I bought 20ft of clear vinyl tubing at Lowes, they don't sell it on the big spools, which means the only way to get it is pre cut to 10ft or 20ft. After buying the 20ft one 1/2in. O/D I got home cut it in half and ran war...

Re: A Hybrid nest for small ants.......

I was wondering if AntsCanada could make hybrid nests for ants such as Solenopsis molesta, Tapinoma melanocephalum, Brachymyrmex patagonicus, and so on. They would have small tunnels and small chambers, like they make in the wild. Also, it would be nice just to have micro holes that the ants can't ...

Re: Sugar Water Test Tubes

Hello. This is going to seem like a weird question, but I have a test tube filled with sugar water and I have noticed over time that some of the cotton in the tube is coming off and floating in the water. Should sugar water best be served in a tray or could this just be something normal? Thanks for...

Best Hydration Medium for Hybrid Nest 2.0

I just got the new tetramorium hybrid nest 2.0, and I was wondering what the recommended hydration medium was for the nest. I used cotton balls on my old hybrid nest, but the hydration system has changed a bit and I’m wondering if cotton balls are still a good option.

A 15 watt cable will do just fine.
that i knew but itwas the degrees thati was more on after!
A 15 watt cable has a standard temperature, there’s 15 watts running through the cable hence the cable is a constant temperature equivalent to 15 watts.

AntsCanada suggests a heating cable to speed up the process of ant production. What kind of cable is correct and where can I buy it?
This is the one I use. Zoo Med Reptile Heat Cable 15 Watts, 11.5-Feet https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001LQUZAM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_6TMBBbYDCBX88

I've placed them next to my ant colony in a dark place so idk what happend but i cant feed my ants with them right?
To be safe I would say don’t feed them to your ants, because they died so quickly that they could’ve been exposed to something.

Re: Older fruit flies

Did you put the fruit flies in direct sunlight or something? They shouldn’t have died that fast.

When I take a photo and try to add it to an attachment it says file too long
You’ll have to upload it to a photo hosting website and link it here.
