Crematogaster digging into blue sponge

I have a Crematogaster colony of about 50 workers in a Large Omni Nest and I've noticed that they've gotten into the right sponge chamber and have begun digging it out. There's a little pile of blue sponge bits in one of the adjacent chambers and I can see workers hanging out on the sponge. Is there...

ID Help, Long Island NY, 20th September

I caught this on the 19th or the 20th of September at around 7 AM, Long Island, New York. I apologize for the quality of the photos, I don't have anything with a macro lens. I'm pretty sure I can see wing scars on her, and I'd say she's around 7-9mm long.
