I found her in the sidewalk when I was walking my dog. Im from the desert Neveda.

I was walking on the sidewalk and I found this ant running around,and I got her. But is she a queen,after doing some picture comparison looks like a male. Can I still catch a queen ant in September?

I've been looking for a queen for almost a year with no luck. Today I'm going back to the park and go queen hunting again. Where should I look? I do live in the desert.

It has been almost a year and still no luck..

It has been almost a whole year that I've been in search for a queen with no luck.Yesterday,we received some rain,so today I'm going queen hunting. Where do you guys recommend me to search besides the sidewalks?

Not only summer. You can find queens of many different genuses and species year-round (excluding winter).
