You can put both colonies in the fridge for day, the take the dead queen out and combine the colonies and keep them in the fridge for another day or untile you are comfortable to take them out, they should get along and take onto the new queen and workers, this worked with my camponotus chromaiodes ...

She doesn't have her stored energy anymore so she can't last without food until she gets new workers, and is used to being taken care of and fed. Try and put the food as close as you can to her, to make it as easy as possible, if she isn't in a test tube setup I would recommend putting her in one so...

You can always look for ants in wood, logs or branches just pull the bark off and slowly dig into it. You can pull moss off the ground around trees or on wood, and find ants nesting in that.

Camponotus chromaiodes

I found two componotus chromaiodes colonies, both had workers but no eggs they each had 6 workers, but sadly one of the queens lost all of her workers. What could I do to make them start laying eggs and could I merge the two queens into one colony?
