Update # 2 Larvae have hatched this is amazing! It’s been 5 days since the last update. Here’s the new news. I caught the queen on the 20th of June. Update # 1
Queen has still eggs. No larvae yet. Hopefully the eggs will turn into larvae soon. I have been keeping her at around 80 degrees F. Should I go higher or lower? I don't want to overheat her and I want the eggs to develop fast. Thanks!

1st link is pavement ant also known as tetramorium sp.E
2nd link is parasitic ants not mature enough with your experience with ant keeping not personal
3rd link is lasius neoniger also known as garden ants.

It’s not a parasitic, it looks like a Formica ant queen. Don’t know what species of Formica tho. Good luck!

Yeah its a camponotus queen. Well this may help to convince your dad of keeping it. If you put them in a secured test tube or formicarium they wont escape and will not chew through wood. They don't consume wood either. And carpenter ants don't have to nest in wood they just prefer it since they are ...
