Queen has still eggs. No larvae yet. Hopefully the eggs will turn into larvae soon. I have been keeping her at around 80 degrees F. Should I go higher or lower? I don't want to overheat her and I want the eggs to develop fast. Thanks!

It’s not a parasitic, it looks like a Formica ant queen. Don’t know what species of Formica tho. Good luck!

Yeah its a camponotus queen. Well this may help to convince your dad of keeping it. If you put them in a secured test tube or formicarium they wont escape and will not chew through wood.
