Your information is appreciated. I did a little research but did not find what I was looking for. Do you know by any chance if she will require Protein before going into hibernation? I suppose I should probably ask if all ants require it before hibernation really.

Thought id update on the queens. Winged one is trying to get out so think ill release her. Two of the others i caught are already laying and tending eggs which I didnt expect so soon so let the palpitations commence

Lasius Niger, its just the common black ant for my region, we don't get many species around here. In saying that though I did see a particularly big major while hunting for queens that looked very similar though was a dark shade of green

Hey guys, been watching the channel for a while and though id finally register on the forums since it was Nuptial flight time. Had a basic ant farm since January with around 50+ ants and only had about 5 deaths so they are still going strong. Pus been out and about the last two days catching queens....
