That is most certainly not lasius but it is camponotus.

Those are infact queens, both are something from the genus camponotus. Have a look at antmaps.org they can show you what species of camponotus live in your area.

Most lasius species will look the same for a newbie so your ant is most likely not parasitic most likely just a different type of lasius. If you could post some photos it would help us identifie it more easily.

I think he is asking about the hydration chamber on the AntsCanada horizontal nest, for that just fill it up with cotton or some kind of soil like coco fiber.

you will have to have a look at you country's export and import lays but it is most likely not legal. Some queen don't lay eggs for a very long time so they could be fertile. i would suggest to look at other queen ant sellers/online stores but make sure they live in you state.

That is a queen from the genus formica.

The nanitics are always smaller than the rest.
