So, greatest news ever, we have 2 workers! and 3 more cocoons that wernt too much later, so Hopefully in the next week she will be up to 5 workers!!! Man it was such a journey, but thanks to the advice and patience (And probably the heating box) we got there! The queen became very aggressive and act...

Not even a week later and more good news, 2 of her larva have encased themselves in a cocoon. Hopefully the third one will follow suit.

Now to wait another 4-6 weeks!

So just a quick update, Its been 6 weeks since my last. Good news is my queen has 3 Larva and 3 eggs, and boy is she voracious. Anything I feed her is pretty much ripped apart, and then disposed of after she is done with them. She is still in her heated container but she seems much more comfortable ...

I mean it will depend if your lucky enough and got a queen. Sadly I know othing about the species, but if they have workers/nanitics then your at least in some luck. Sugars are almost always going to be a requirement, after that though is finding proteins they can eat, Fruit Flies are always a good ...

Water evaporates on its own, sand isnt good at holding onto it or absorbing it, so just leave it to dry out, if you keep adding more like mentioned ants will move in, and you also increase the time it will take for all the excess to evaporate, unless its a proper visible layer you could use some thi...

I just caught 14 Lasius Niger wingless queens, lets hope, there were loads all over the place today, I didnt believe it when people said its that easy to spot. They wernt kidding

Loads of information is better than none!!! I gave her some crushed fruit flies, a small amount of honey, and I have left her tube since then, I plan to check it on the 14th of August and see if there is any luck/progress and I will post any news here
