Pavement ants inactive
My pavement ants aren't foraging for food and only move if I hit their nest with a stick, they live under a decomposing grasshopper. I gave them fruit but they didn't even try to eat it they just left it alone and didn't step out of their nest. I'm worried about them.

Identify this queen please
It looks like a wasp it flows golden in the sunlight its not very active it likes the dark. It has a yellow ring around it's neck.

I have an ant queen that look sort of like a wasp it's golden in the sunlight and is very quick when it comes to doing things (laying eggs)

Once the ants run out of enough gel the colony rations. You need to feed them or they will die

Now is a great time to look for queens they're the ones with wings, just make sure it's not a king. Im going to set my ants up in an aquarium once they are older. Make sure to keep them in a jar or test tube until they are a thriving colony. Make sure the aquarium has no water and lots of soil.
