I know ,but it kept moving and hiding ,mostly staying on the lid =-= and my temporary container is just a microwave plastic container and its not completely transparent ITS SO HARD TO GET A CLEAR PHOTO :oops:

Is this a Queen Ant?

looks much like a southern fire ant ( worker ) but its head is black and i could see wing scar :?:
size : 1.5 cm +
well... it tried to bite my dad . lol

for what i know...freezing just slow the time the parasites grow?It dosen't really kill it. But might work if you put it directly in after buying...so it dosen't start growing at all.

i'll try putting it at ......uh......maybe not move it .Thats the safest place i can find. theres a lot of tiny ant at my house that might attack them.

Another question can the queen run out of egg ? My whole colony died with a few eggs left and queen . :cry:

Idk do you put them in a air conditioned room? If it’s too cold or you put them in direct sunlight it may kill them. Lasius Niger is, I believe, fully claustral, so you don’t need to feed them. Check the temperature you put them in, if it’s not that, I’m not really sure what it is. Also, do you see...

SOS my colony is dying

my queen and laid a few egg and hatched recently...but now they are dying one by one ? is it because they are hungry or sick ?they are so active running around.the queen (normal) too moved its egg to the tube.Did something attacked them? they look panik. :?: Ant type : lasius niger.pls help me!

it's 2 egg hatched and i am 100% possitive that it is black garden ant.i even caught one to compare :D (theres many of these ants at the backyard ). :D :D :D
