Hello, i actually have a 2 queens that look just like yours, another ant keeper on this forum told me it's most likely a camponotus modoc. I guess that's that?!?!

Another idea, could you maybe, just maybe, i can keep a species of ants (i am not sure what species fits this description) that the workers can walk in and out of the nest but the queen is traped in. feeding wont be a problem because of trophallaxis. A few problems on this might be: mold out breaks,...

I kept the test tube "for science", and found that the yellow things don't move, at least not visibly. The maggots appear to be dead and are not moving niether.

Same thing happend to my queen, i let her sit for quite a while (at least a week) and then she started laying eggs, maybey she's just stressed.

Silicone instead?!?!
i just had the idea of using silicone as a substitute for, say, plaster. i did a tiny bit of research and found nothing. im a niether a genius or an idiot so i would like to know if anyone else think this is a good idea, if not then what is the best material you suggest??
