You could expose wherever they have moved to with very bright light, and make the proper nest very dark, and to the preferred temperature and humidity of your ants.

If it is a native species, let them have their nuptial flight. You could put the setup in a shed or next to an open window (Obviously with some way to keep the queen and workers from escaping) , and let them fly off. I'd like to know how they got on!

If you can't find anyone, just wait until the nuptial flight of your native ant species.

You can buy them for feeding reptiles and birds in most petshops

Hi! I think you should put the formicarium into a big plastic tub. Then tip the whole jar of dirt into the tub, next to the formicarium. Hopefully, the ants will then move into it.

I would say just keep them in their current setup until they seem to need more space - just wait and don't rush it!
