Help identifying queen and workers
Hello Forum, I caught a queen about a month or so ago, and she has workers now! Very exciting stuff, and by the looks of it they're ready to move into a formicarium! One question: what kind of ants do I have, and what kind of formicarium can I make around my house for them on a budget? I already bou...

The software of this website won't let me go back and edit my post. For the pictures you can't see, right click on them, and click open in a new tab. It should take you to the imgur website where you can see them.

These pictures are hard to take! I have a smartphone and they're still hard to get in focus! These are the best shots I could get. Re: Pennsylvania and Nearby Locations Nuptial Flight Sightings Thread
I was weeding disturbed a colony of small black ants( not sure the sp.) This colony had a fair amount of queens. The queens still had wings so they have not flown yet. So keep your eyes out because looks like some sp. have some queens ready to fly! Too dry today though. :D Well, here we are at Sund...

I agree with the rest. Also I have made this mistake before of forgetting to clean the build-up out of the pill bottles. Don't overdose of Queens. My first two queens have died before I could move them to vials. Am I doing something wrong?
Just found a queen ant yesterday, I kept her a plastic container that should have given her some air, and when I woke up this morning she was dead. Same with another queen I caught about a week ago. I put her in a pill container and I didn't give her anything, but she just up and died. Am I doing so...
