What if they are too happy in their jar and don't want to move. Is there anything that they don't like that would drive them out of the jar? Without hurting them obviously.

Ants being transported into a new formicarium.
I recently caught a pheidole colony that I found in a pot whilst gardening. I have ordered a formicarium but I have no idea how to transport them from the dirt-filled jar that they are in and into the formicarium without getting too much dirt into the formicarium. Please help.

Normally the nest should be in between 16 and 25 degrees Celcius but the outworld can be in the high 20's and at most, 30 degrees Celcius.

How to transport ants from jar with dirt into formicarium
Hi, I have recently captured a colony of Phediole ants from a pot in my backyard. I put them into a jar with dirt and then ordered a formicarium that arrives by the end of the week. How can I transport the ants into the formicarium without getting much dirt in and also without harming the ants?
