Just found the first queen ant of the nuptial season. She seemed very slow-moving, but I’m hoping that’s just because of the cold weather. I believe it’s a pheidole queen, found at 8:30 am on a clear day, temp. was about 56F. The hunt is on!

Only thing I've seen so far was a single fire ant colony with a few alates swarming the day after after a storm. I did manage to find a pair of termite alates after that same storm, so I'm giving them a try. Hopefully alates will start swarming soon as the weather starts warming up within the next m...
