My observations with odontomachus
Odontomachus are an interesting combination of common and reclusive. In warm habitats they can be found anywhere with leaf litter. Even if you expose the nest, they are very reluctant to defend despite having a sting that, in my experience, is almost the same as a yellowjacket, even a little more pa...

Re: Broken Kit
The spam bots ruined it. Personally I think AC should publicize the forum through his videos, I've been watching them and keeping ants for 3 years and I didn't know about the forums till about a month ago.

Re: The Nylanderia Fulva problem
After some further study I seem to have found a match for N. fulva. Dorymyrmex bureli is capable of killing about 5 per worker. N. fulva is not predisposed to full-scale raids as D. bureli is. The bureli immediately raided the colony as soon as they got the upper hand and stole brood. I didn't let t...

The Nylanderia Fulva problem
Hello everyone, I am not sure whether this is the correct place to post this, as this is my third post on this website. I am an ant keeper that lives in Miami, one of the worst places for invasive ants and invasive species in general. South Florida is a new home for species such as the cane toad, br...
