After 2 years with Camponotus you only had 6 workers? Isn't that very few, even with Camponotus being slow growing? Im afriad your queen just might be... faulty

I caught an unidentified queen ant back in December, and she is pulling out cotton and rolling it into balls. Today she rolled all these balls together, and is carrying around 1 large ball. Hi everyone! I recently caught a queen ant (this Thursday), and was wondering if anyone could ID it for me? I'm thinking maybe Lasius? I know it's December, but I'm pretty sure it's a queen! It is about 6 or 7 mm, very small
