The spam bots ruined it. Personally I think AC should publicize the forum through his videos, I've been watching them and keeping ants for 3 years and I didn't know about the forums till about a month ago.
I agree. He doesn't advertise his forum enough.

Re: What is this tiny queen ant???

how big is she, a close up side angle and which state/territory you found her in would help. If i were to guess i would say tetramorium sp.

Re: New ant keeper question - terrarium

they are probably still alive. in the wild a young colony will block them selves in. Only foraging if they need food. Some species do This more than others. i'd like to know what species do you have?

Re: Welcome to the Camponotus Crew!

i'm getting excited for my camponotus nanitics. She has 4 pupae and 2 larvae. They seemed to have developed quite fast though, 3-4 weeks to pupae stage. Shes a big girl as well about 2cm long. not sure of the species but they seem to be common in my semi-urban area.

Re: 100% hot glue ant nest?

It will be interesting to see how well it works if you do this. Only problems i see is hydration, toxic glue, and gaps for ants to escape.
