Need help on how to care for Acromyrmex sp.

Hello friends, I recently(yesterday) found an Acromyrmex sp. ant, and looking on the internet, it says that it is a very difficult ant to keep, it is a leafcutter and it grows fungus, other than that it's pretty much scant information. So, I come ask for help in what to do, since I never seen ants l...

Re: Ant found in Gruarulhos/São Paulo/Brazil

But narrowing down what type of Acromymex sp it's another business, since I found in Brazil(southeast region) I guess that it could be Acromymex Lundii, beca...

Re: Nuptial flights in brazil

I don't know, I'm from São Paulo/Brazil myself, and I can tell you that in the late september, more precisely on 26/sep/2019 I managed to get Solenopsis spp. (the red fire ant) I saw termites flying as well(can't ID them) if you want, catch a pair. if I wanted, I could get some Atta spp. that day th...

Re: Big ant in Guarulhos City SP/Brazil

Sorry for the way too late reply, LasiusSapien, I checked out some sources after I've read your answer(on the same day you posted), and turns out it was Diacamma spp. too bad she didn't made it because whe wasn't fertilized... she was no queen for Diacamma spp. are all workers, I found a colony of t...

Re: Queen and worker I’d help

The last four pics seem to be workers of Solenopsis spp. (AKA Fire ants, red fire ants) and they do point their stingers up as well, as for the queen, the second picture doesn't seem to do much justice, but the first and the third seem to be a queen of Solenopsis spp. also red fire ant, and the size...
