Are they all black?
No, I think the photo make them look black. Their heads are more reddish, the majors heads are like a cherry red, the rest of the body, is sort of orange black
Yeah I think they are Big Headed ants like CANant said.

Re: Forelius Clan

Update: Azucar Forelia has laid a clutch of eggs. There are sadly 2 workers still alive but I think they are going to do fine. It is starting to get hotter here and I think that will be great for the colony. If anyone has questions feel free to post it here :) ArizonanAnts I think you guys can call ...

Re: Welcome to the Camponotus Crew!

Hey alfred0809, Welcome to the Camponotus Crew. You will be able to keep up with the Brood Boosting process either on here or on the Forelius Clan page. I hope it works for you AZ. Thank you. Now I'm gonna stay on top of the Forelius Clan as much as possible. (Now since you put me on the spot, jk) ...

Re: Welcome to the Camponotus Crew!

That's funny. Forelius are so common that there are literally like 4 different colonies around my house. One goes right through my back yard. I think I'm gonna try seeing if I can get some brood after it rains.

If you did want to it would involve finding another colony. you basically take brood from that colony and out them in yours.
Where do I find the brood though. its not that easy is it?

Hey AZ, have you considered brood boosting for your colony?
I have. Its a great idea but I want to try to go all-natural. Plus I don't really know how to do it.

Re: Welcome to the Camponotus Crew!

Do you guys agree that there should be more AC equipment sold on Amazon? I know the small ant tower and the mini biome kit are on there, but that's all. Most of the other ant keeping stuff is not as good. I know for me at least, Amazon gift cards are common, so i'd like to be able to get my ant kee...

Re: Forelius Clan

I actually just left them under my bed without food for like 2 weeks and I randomly checked and she had a new clutch. I put some agave nectar and a piece of Arby's ham and see how they progress from there. I think one of the reasons that they were suffering is because I kept checking in on them too ...
