Re: Need Queen and and workers ID, from Malaysia
Ok. I will do so. Will black soil work too? My mom does not allow me to buy coco peat. Also, can I find Ytong or AAC anywhere in Ipoh, Malaysia? Thanks! Yes, black soil should work as well. I don't know where you can find ytong in Ipoh since I live in Klang but you can try searching around on Googl...

Re: Need Queen and and workers ID, from Malaysia
I fed them honey, jelly, or sugar water. Sometimes I will get lucky and find a baby roach, which I will feed to them. But I can't remember the details, it has been almost 1 year since they died out. The queen is still alive. I put them under a red film but afterwards I move them to a setup that is ...

Re: Need Queen and and workers ID, from Malaysia

They always go very well but then they will die out. Can somebody tell me why this is the case? Will be thankful for any help you guys c...

Is it the normal diet for ants?
How long is the stage till nanitics?
Takes 1 month, their pupae don't have cocoons so if yours does it's probably something else so keep this in mind.

You can bring them back to your house as long as they are still in the same state or province.

Re: Another! My queen ant journal
Upon further investigation it seems there was some sort of white mold which spread on the glass of the tt and possibly could be the reason of their death. I released the 5 workers who were still alive. There was some brood but it's not worth saving as it could also be infected and dead. Guess it's ...

Re: Ant ID
Can't quite tell but she could be Liometopum occidentale, for a confermation you can look at the brood, L. occidentale are known for raising a large number of nanitics, if yours don't it's likely they're Formica. The workers also have orange thoraxes.

She looks like Solenopsis to me, the fire ant kind of Solenopsis.
