Is there any chance someone could help me with the different species which go onto the nuptial flight as I want to begin ant keeping but don't want an ant colony which participates within the yearly flights.
let me see if i've got this right, you don't want an ant species that has nuptial flight?

Hello, I come here again to ask for your help. Re: Attachment to feeder insects?

i get where you're coming from but look at it from this point of view 1 quick and painless death(that's all any of us can as for) to provide life for 10's of others

also it help to see insects as functions of nature more like biological machines than simple life forms

Re: Synthetic Diet - Questions

Hi, I've recently started with Ant Keeping, and I'm starting small and basic. I should receive within days my Lasius Niger Queen, with eggs. Re: Welcome to the Camponotus Crew!

After a little while of pondering it, the one tiny worker ant is wrestling this small moth (cut in half but not all the way) around the tube, under the foil, biting it h...

I’m flat broke. And I don’t know if my parents will buy that.
friend of mine uses his router/hub to warm a few of his insect enclosures also as for heat mats you can pick up a small 5w one for about a fiver on amazon
