Hi!
i think that you should wait until your colony has grown big enough.
I would say a few hundreds of workers. Lasius Niger is a relatively small species of ants

I also have a L. niger queen with 12 workers in a testtube setup, it is normal that it takes long...
i bought them on the GAN projekt and since then, the eggs have just diveloped to larva (in one month)

Hey I have a Lasius niger colleny in a 3D printed Nest and outworld. It is all in White PLA and all thou it is very god for look ing at the ants it seems a bit cold. should i put a bit of sand and maybe some twigs in the outworld i would boil it first. it is maybe 20+ workers and the amount of eggs...

Thanks again! Sadly I just checked on her and she was dead :( Maybe she took too much damage at the pool, with high concentration of chemicals... But thanks anyway for all the help! All good. It was alive yesterday but I’m trying to leave it alone so it doesn’t get stressed out. I’ve been doing some research and I believe it is a Solenopsis xyloni queen. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong I think it might be a Lasius niger queen, but im not sure. PS: sry if im posting this...
