Re: 2 carpenter ants paired together... problems occured.

Oh crap!

Yes I see it now, and I remember...
It's because I copy and pasted this whole thing from a question I asked on YouTube.

I was aware that Mikey didnt use these forums..
I guess I forgot to proof read it and get rid of any unnecessary parts like that..

Re: 2 carpenter ants paired together... problems occured.

Thank you Joe... I appreciate the input. I wasnt trying to mate them, I only paired them because of information from an antsaustralia video that I must have mistakenly understood wrong.. which said that queens would feel comfortable to have workers in the tube with them.. I assume though from this i...

Re: 2 carpenter ants paired together... problems occured.

I'm pretty disappointed and also upset...i suppose if I was a more experienced ant keeper I would have recognized them both as queens and should have had them seperated as a potential 2 colonies. Problem is when I f...

Re: Fungus-Growing Ants

That doesnt discourage me at all!
I think it just makes me more ambitious to having a colony of them!
I had no idea, it's nice having this forum...because finding information via Google is pretty tough...

2 carpenter ants paired together... problems occured.

*help* I recently started to try and propagate a carpenter ant colony.. I found a wings carpenter and, as well as another carpenter ant that was the same size without wings... I thought maybe 1 was a queen and 1 was a worker so I paired them together which is something that antsaustralia recommended...

Aphid Milking Ants

I'm just wondering are there any specific species of ants that milk aphids? Or is it something common amongst a lot of different species? I seem to be having a hard time finding a clear answer with a Google search...most search result talk about the aphid more than the ants.. Any of them located in ...

Fungus-Growing Ants

So I'm from BC canada, and it seems like all the fun ants are tropical or neo tropical.. Vampire ants, bullet ants, leaf cutter ants, etc... I thought that an aphid milking species or fungus farming species would be fun, and super interesting. I research fungus farming ants and I was very excited wh...
