Will an AC ant tower small work for black crazy ants?

I am a beginner ant keeper raising up a black crazy ant (Paratrechina Longicornis) colony, and I desperately need a habitat to keep them in when they grow to big for their test tube setup. Do you guys think that an AC ant tower small will work for them? Do these ant species dig tunnels? If not, Is i...

Re: I have a weird "Formicarium" design- need help!

I will attach two water bottles with a T connector and and use the third opening as the nest exit. inside one of the water bottle, on one side there will be mois...

I have a weird "Formicarium" design- need help!

I am a new ant keeper trying to raise a black crazy ant colony ( Paretrachina Longicornis) . Right now they are still in a test tube+ small outworld setup, but eventually I will have to give them a real formicarium. I need something secure and escape-proof, easy to maintain, and AntsCanada quality w...

Re: Help on feeding ants in a test tube!

Thanks! I will definitely try this. I actually have a blue tongue skink (which is a lizard) and she eats chicken, so maybe I can feed a little piece to my ants.

Help on feeding ants in a test tube!

I am a brand new ant keeper, and about 6 days ago a caught queen ant. I believe the queen is a black crazy ant (Paratrechina Longicornis). I extracted the queen and 3 workers from a nest under a wood plank, and put them in a classic test tube setup. A few days ago, one of the workers died, but the q...
