Re: Help Me Identefy This Strange Ant

Not sure of the species.. but it's posture and position in those pictures, coupled with the white "fluffy stuff" on its body screams CORDYCEPS to me! #AmateurOpinion

Re: Ant Identification - Australia, NSW ~Oct/2018

Re: Hello..

I'm from Australia so I've got no ideas for locating them in your area... but there are sites (this one included) that sell queens and send them through the mail, incase you get fed up with the hunt! You probably already know that, but since you said you're new to this I thought I'd just give you a ...

Finally.. ugh.. unfortunately that's the only picture I have.. that pic is in focus (insert snorts of derision here lol), but doesn't do justice to the coloration.. it's like the first 2 segments were a tan-ie brown and its gaster was black! Any ideas?

URGENT

Please help me identify this species... no need for everyone to write "it's hard to tell from a picture" because I'm well aware of that... but any feedback would be much appreciated... I think I know what it is but I need some "confirmation" before I decide what to do next. Oh, and merry Christmas b...
