So I have an update for everyone. I have my first worker ant. I rewarded the queen and worker with honey. Do these carpenter ants hibernate? I live in Tucson and its hot in the winter. Black ants found in Tucson please identify

I see this type of ant all the time in Tucson. I have no idea what species they are. Does any one here know?
