That is an ant but I cant tell if it is a queen or not because I am bad at identifying ants.

That is a queen. I don't know what genus though because I am not good with identification.

I forgot to add that it was found in San Antonio TX.

Ant queen in need of identification.

She was found in Texas a couple of months ago (forgot exactly when) after a rain). I also saw another of the same species today but I was unsmart and accidentally let her escape. The queen of this species have blackish wings, black bodies but their abdomens are orange. She has not layed any eggs to ...
