Thank you. I didn't think it was a good idea but I had to ask. The one queen I have left seems to be doing ok. I'll just keep an eye on her every week or so. I guess I'll foster these workers for a few months and let them die naturally. My nephew might think these guys are cool on their own to study...

So I went back a day or so later and caught some of the workers that were under the same rock, the other rock seems empty but there were not a lot of workers to begin with there. They are in a jar. So both of them were under a rock with workers and a bit of a colony. Does that mean they need to be fed? Or left alone? Still. Learning If they had workers they probably have used up most or all of their food stores. So yes, you should feed them. If you can, go back to the colony and collect what ...
