Trap jaw ants have mites

My trap jaw ants have mites *Odontomachus monticola*. I tried alcohol, grapefruit seed extract, lemon therapy but theese cures are don't help. I can't buy predatory mites... what can i do??... :cry:

Yeah they have more queen at 1 colony.

Ok so i got the answers. The queen lifespan is 3-5 year.

Okay guys, i get a Polyrhachis Dives colony and they requied 60% humidity. I keep them in a container and a nesting test tube and a drinking test tube. Polyrhachis dives queen lifespan

Sorry guys i know this is not an ant keeping question but this is maybe the best section of the forum where i can ask this question. I buy a Polyrhachis dives young colony (with 8-15 worker) and i want to know how much the lifespan of the queen!

Protein for ants

The winter and the hibernation time are coming and i wan't to add some protein for the last time. The pet store is far away from me and i can't buy insects. I search for insects in my garden, but i don't found anything. Are you guys know any alternative ways to feed my ants with protein?

The best way I can think to do it would be to put the test tube in a larger tub / container with a barrier on the top to keep them inside. This allows you to unplug the cotton and the ants can run around without fear of losing them. Carefully lift the cricket above the ants inside the tube and remo...
