How do I care for this queen? Does it have any special properties? If anyone feels like debunking this species guess. Found in Val-d'Or, Quebec, Canada.
Was found in the afternoon.
Was found in early august.
Rained 2 days ago.
Seemed to stay on gravely terrain.

Species identification
So I just caught a new queen while looking for workers for my social parasite. This new queen measures exactly 1 cm from abdomen to head. Here are some way clearer photos. (the light is tinted green so I'll describe the color scheme) The thorax is a very dark red (probably visible in the eight blurry photos). Queen ant identification
So I caught this one on august sixth (it was raining on the fifth), in Quebec. I can't tell if it is a queen or not, nor the species.
