Thank you guys for your help. Thanks to you I think I have found out what species of lasius this is. So if I'm not mistaken the ants in my back yard here are (lasius neoniger) the photo on top is a Google photo of this species and the bottom is my best photo I have of my outside friends. Tetramorium immigrants???

Ok so I have posted before trying to identify if these little guys are tetramorium immigrants but the photo i took was very bad. Thank you very much for some input I should try to get a better photo. I also noticed that there are allot of bigger ants that walk around this same area. Do tetramorium ants have workers and soldiers that are noticably bigger in size? If not I have come to believe there's a group of Carpenter ants ...

Hello everyone I'm going to keep this short and sweet. This colony of ants has been living at the bottom of my porch stairs for years. I took a picture of one of the little guys to find out what they could be. Maybe I can catch one of their queens. I'm thinking they are of the tetramorium immigrants...
