I am just starting to keep ants and live in Middle TN. I just captured 3 lasius queens and another that I haven’t yet identified. I am brand new to ant keeping and still have a lot to learn. I am thinking of raising a few more types of queens as I am a little late to catch too many more this year it...

So a few things I did not mention. She is about 8 to 9mm and was found today, 8/1/18 at 18:00 in Murfreesboro TN. She is a dark brown/black with a dark reddish legs. I’ll be happy to answer any other questions. This is my first queen and I want to get a colony going.

Help identifying a new queen

I would like to see if you all could help me identify this Queen. She was collected in middle Tennessee.
