I don't think you got it :/ they are a little bit different. Thank you for your guess anyway!
Unfortunately I didn't have time to go there the last few days, I'll see if I can go tomorrow and get some better quality pictures and info.
I hope they didn't have their nuptial flight yet

Re: Identification help
They are most definitely queens! Congratulations on your first catch :) To me they look like lasius niger queens, although a bit light in color compared to the ones I'm keeping. Maybe it is the photo or they might be from a different specie from the lasius family, I'm not great with ant ID but there...

Re: Huge queen won't fit on a test tube
Well I looked at her setup, she already has a lot of eggs, I don't want to disturb her, I'll check on her in one or 2 weeks, if things go bad I'll change her to this new one, but for now things look really good :) Sorry I didn't have time to take any pictures since I just looked 2-3 seconds xs Next ...

Re: Huge queen near 1.7cm, can someone help with ID?
well I won't xD looked really quickly, she clearly has some eggs there already, I don't know how but looks like she has been laying a lot of them, the setup was really clean and she seemed ok. I closed it quickly so I wouldn't disturb her, just a few seconds of light, I'll check herr again in one or...

Re: Huge queen near 1.7cm, can someone help with ID?
to take the chance to feed her some honey on the hold setup, and in an hour or so after attach the new test tube, get it done with xD that way the remaining honey will be left in the hold one and she will get some extra energy, hopefully won't be so stressed out

Re: Huge queen near 1.7cm, can someone help with ID?
Already updated on the Ant Care and Ant Keeping but I'll update here as well. I managed to find some larger test tubes, and I've already made the attachment that will connect the hold test tube to the new one, but I'm afraid of stressing the queen to much so I'm reticent to expose her to light, her ...

Re: Huge queen won't fit on a test tube
