Hi Guys. I Found some ant alates/queens. Location: Lethbridge, Alberta Size: About 1/2 inch long I found a bunch of alates/queens near a nest which I've heard isn't the greatest idea, but there were wingless queen ants as well, so hopefully some of them are mated. I see. Thanks for the tips. I've put a tiny drop of syrup in the new tube. I have an led light shining on the setup now but I never thought to move it closer. Thanks you two.

Right. She's around 1.2 cm and was caught in Lethbridge Alberta Canada.

Hey all. I caught my first queen ant today!!! I had collected a male and a female alate but upon further viewing, I noticed that they might both be female alates.
