Today on July 20 my first worker ants ever have come it is so cool I am so happy! :D :D :D :D :lol: :mrgreen: What species is she? I just had my first Lasius flavus worker a few days ago. She is Solenopsis invicta. sry I took so long to respond I was gone for a week she has nine workers now! :D

Usually you want the queen in a test tube, so that you can place a ruler underneath or on the side of the test tube and line it up when the queen is oriented the right way.

So my black camponotus is doing well. She has laid about 5 to 7 eggs and though they haven't hatched she hasn't eaten them... However the water end of the test tube where the water is has dried up. Instead of cotton balls I had to think on the spot. But how would I add water or should I? Need some ...

Also please tell me when a ant will come out.

This ant was my first queen ant that I caught so I wanted to know what species my ant was so I could know how to take care of it.

My ant was caught on June 19 2018 and caught in Louisiana to help you identify it.
