Re: Need help identifying newly caught queens
That would be cool if they were a pheidole sp. I wish I had taken better quality photos before putting them away, however soon as a month or two passes by I'll try to take a better pic of them.

I went walking today around my block around 6 AM around the St. Louis area, and I stumbled upon 3 queen ants, 2 are the same species but 1 I am almost sure is a tetramorium, however I have no idea what these 2 little red ones are. https://i.gyazo.com/62fa1e70bd1e7b37d62611ec50f453e2.png Red Queen ht...

Re: Tetramorium Immigrans laid her first batch of workers
Hello everyone, its been about five weeks now and I finally got a decent pic to show all of you. https://i.gyazo.com/f4cfe150f091cedd7d456fff0428712c.png Took this really quick then placed Remus back into the dark, but the process of egg to worker has been slightly longer for my ant queens, because ...

Re: Tetramorium Immigrans laid her first batch of workers
Its been 3 weeks now, and I believe both queens now have larvae. Both seem to have equal the amount of eggs, and they have adapted pretty well to their test tubes. :D https://i.gyazo.com/d7fbcec2f1f20763fc85b8a45b2d73da.png Romulus https://i.gyazo.com/8d10dce27d7fd3460e3e83ac77ab7b5a.png Remus Hopef...

Re: Tetramorium Immigrans laid her first batch of workers
Thanks! I believe Romulus has the biggest egg count so far compared to Remus, but only time will tell which one will have the biggest colony. https://i.gyazo.com/ac5fee38279806160664749e50ba9bc8.jpg Remus https://i.gyazo.com/d3764c880023f8eb95b3790f15a4bd23.png Romulus Right now its been about 1 wee...

Re: Tetramorium Immigrans laid her first batch of workers
End of the first week, and both queens have laid many eggs.
First queen carrying her eggs.
Second queen laying more eggs.
I decided to name them both Romulus and Remus.

Tetramorium Immigrans laid her first batch of workers
Took atleast four days but these two queens finally laid their first eggs. First time ant keeping so its pretty exciting. :D Been keeping them in the dark pretty much all the time, and don't mess with them at all. Hopefully, they don't eat their eggs. https://i.gyazo.com/58c2dc95fa92587a4247b5...
