Got my microscope working better and managed to get these shots while the one queen laid an egg.

im from ontario and i havent seen any yet. Its been 10-15deg c and rain for like 2 weeks whats the weather like there? time of day sighted wind/rain conditions?

Went for a walk April 9th really looking for some camponotus. But it seem they are not quite flying yet here. I rolled over a few logs and did find a few ladies tho. Im also looking to keep this species I live in Ontario Canada and I haven't seen any queens of any sp yet. Its been the warmest its been yet 15 degC but very windy and rain everyday so its quite wet. Let us know if you see them down in Washington. I'm sure they will fly here the same time or shortly...

Hey lady's and gents, Found her today at 5 pm in Stafford Ontario Canada. She is maby 8mm long. I did some searching and I believe her to be Lasius claviger. Caught her July 20 on a beach mid eastern Ontario on a beach no less. It was a windy 30deg day and she must have blown/flown across the lake. Very aggressive movments and easily agitated when ever I peak at her. with in 3 days she shed her wings and started laying eggs as seen in the photos. 12-14mm...
